Gashadokuro

Description

The Gashadokuro! In Japanese folk lore, it is described as being many times taller than a human, and made up of the bones of those that had starved to death.  Instead of making it a shambling mass of bones or a giant human skeleton (I have seen that so many times), I decided to take a different approach. In my design, it has a giant sloth skeleton, gorilla arms, and a pig skull head. The pig skull is to symbolize gluttony, as well as the giant sloth skeleton.

"These Yōkai roam after midnight, grabbing lone travelers and biting off their heads to drink their spraying blood. There is a tell sign as the victim would hear the sound of loud ringing in the ear. The Gashadokuro are said to possess the powers of invisibility and indestructibility; though Shinto charms are said to ward them off."

This is a colored ink painting! Man, colored ink painting is a lengthy process!

Hello! Sorry to bother you, I have a YouTube channel and I make some videos about legends ... In one of them I will talk about this legend and I would like to have some images about it and I found your drawing interesting since I need something like that. Could I use it for my video? Of course I would leave credits to you. thanks for your time
